Cisco 9800 wlc ssid not broadcasting
WebOct 30, 2024 · We are seeing all SSIDs not broadcasting on all APs all time. Its intermittent. Because of that user connect with AP which is far instead of nearby AP. Any specific reason for that. We have AP group creation where we have call all WLAN. 1 person had this problem I have this problem too Labels: Wireless Security 0 Helpful Share Reply WebSep 19, 2013 · WLAN ID 1-16 will be the only SSID's that are broadcasted on the AP, and WLAN 17 and up will not be and you will need to use ap groups for that. If this is all fine, then delete the ssid that is the issue and recreate it. You might have too many beacons in the air causing the clients not to see certain ones. Thanks, Scott

If you do not have specific group created then ALL APs are members of the default group.

I know it's impossible with old WLC but is it possible with 9800 ? Is there a way to enable this only on specific AP with flexconnect for example ? My goal is to avoid enabling that on the whole WLC. WebOct 4, 2013 · 1 Accepted Solution. 10-04-2013 05:19 PM. If WLAN ID number is between 1-16 & AP belongs to "default-ap-group" WLC will broadcast all those SSID via APs on that ap-group.. You can do what you required easily by defining a AP-GROUP. Once you defined AP-Group you can selectively advertised SSID on particular APs.
