WebFeb 22, 2004 · The C3B and C3BX are very good intakes. But they are OLD technology. Manifolds have improved a good deal since their release. They also will not clear a HEI distributor (or mine will not). I use them because mine has a oil fill sprout hole in the front of the intake. This is a 283 in my 40 Ford. WebJul 27, 2024 · The C4B had a 4 hole carb pad. I tried all those old Edelbrock and GM dual planes back in the 70s because the "stock" class I was running required a stock type intake. The best one I ever ran was the GM 350 LT1, but like Big Joe said it was very little difference in the whole bunch.
