WebJun 29, 2024 · Gorgeous Scenery & Black Bears! Cades Cove was definitely a highlight of our trip. We arrived about 9:30am, and it was fairly busy. It was bumper-to-bumper at some points but mostly because people would stop in the middle of the road when they spotted bears (despite pull-offs being abundantly available), which completely backed up traffic.
